Day 1

General :

  • Presentation of the workspace
  • Menu bar, tool bar, display tools, selection tools
  • Tree of creation
  • Getting started with the software and using the basic commands
  • Graphic manipulation tools: Zoom / Rotate / Pan
  • Selections, helpers, shortcuts
  • Introduction to modeling
Day 2

CAD Required for FAO :

  • Presentation of sketching tools (line, polyline, arcs, rectangles, etc.)
  • Analysis of the different states of a sketch
  • Moving the parts to the main origin
  • Application exercises for the creation of any raw material
  • Management of model classes (part, raw, environment, etc.)

FAO Administration:

  • Creation of machining plans and setting up of the part origin
  • Creation of a tool library
  • Creation of a machine library
  • Tool path editor
  • Creation of the machining range
  • Generation of the iso program and the routing master
Day 3

2.5 axis machining :

 

  • Drilling type operations:
    • Creation of a scoring cycle
    • Creation of a drilling cycle (normal chip breaking or deburring)
    • Creation of a normal boring cycle
    • Creation of a boring cycle with grain
    • Creation of a laminating cycle
    • Creation of a chamfering cycle
    • Creation of a tapping cycle
  • 2-axis operations:
    • Creation of a pocket cycle
    • Creation of a roughing contouring cycle
    • Creation of a finishing contouring cycle
    • Creation of a chamfering cycle on edge
    • Creation of a threading cycle with a milling cutter
    • Creation of a contouring cycle on a ramp
    • Creation of a surfacing cycle
  • 3 axis machining :
    • Creation of an automatic roughing cycle
    • Creation of a surface scan cycle
    • Creation of a constant Z machining cycle
    • Creation of a curve tracking cycle
    • Creation of a bi-tangency cycle
    • Creation of a scan cycle between curves
    • Creation of a surfacing cycle
